[Smartphone authentication service] What procedure do I need to do when changing to another smartphone?

If you use Smartphone Authentication (FIDO)
Please download the SBI Shinsei Bank App on your new smartphone and log in to the app to register Smartphone Authentication (FIDO).

If you use Smartphone Authentication (VIP Access)
・If the VIP Access app is up to date and you can access both your old and new smartphones
You can transfer your VIP Access credential ID to your new smartphone.
Open the VIP Access app on your old smartphone, select “Transfer Credentials” from the menu in the upper-left corner, and follow the on-screen instructions.

・If you cannot complete the procedure above
Please download the SBI Shinsei Bank App on your new smartphone, log in to the app, and register Smartphone Authentication (FIDO).

Important: About using SMS Authentication or Phone Authentication
Even if you cancel the Smartphone Authentication service, you can still use SMS Authentication or Phone Authentication with your registered phone number.
However, if you use SMS Authentication or Phone Authentication, the maximum amount you can transfer per day is JPY 2,000,000, even if your transfer limit is set above JPY 2,000,000.
If you wish to transfer more than JPY 2,000,000, please register for Smartphone Authentication (FIDO), make transfers over multiple days, or make the transfer at a branch.

If you have changed your phone number, cannot receive SMS messages, and are unable to use the Procedure Request Form, please contact us via the following form to request cancellation:

From March 29, 2026, smartphone authentication will transition from the “VIP Access” app to the “SBI Shinsei Bank App” (FIDO).
Until the end of May 2026, “VIP Access” will remain available; from June 2026 onward, only the “SBI Shinsei Bank App” (FIDO) can be used.
