Individual Number (also called “My Number”) is a 12 digit number issued to individuals residing in Japan. The Individual Number will be used for administrative procedures related to social security, taxation, and disaster relief. Your 12 digit Individual Number can be shown on either your Notification card or your Individual Number Card. Consequently, customers who wish to make transactions the Bank specifies are required to notify the Bank of their Individual Number.
