[Smartphone authentication service] What procedure do I need to do when changing to another smartphone?

If you use Smartphone Authentication (FIDO)
Please download the SBI Shinsei Bank App on your new smartphone and log in to the app to register Smartphone Authentication (FIDO).

Important: About using SMS Authentication or Phone Authentication
Even if you cancel the Smartphone Authentication service, you can still use SMS Authentication or Phone Authentication with your registered phone number.
However, if you use SMS Authentication or Phone Authentication, the maximum amount you can transfer per day is JPY 2,000,000, even if your transfer limit is set above JPY 2,000,000.
If you wish to transfer more than JPY 2,000,000, please register for Smartphone Authentication (FIDO), make transfers over multiple days, or make the transfer at a branch.

The Smartphone Authentication (VIP Access) service previously used has been discontinued as of June 27, 2026.
To use smartphone authentication, please register for the Smartphone Authentication Service (FIDO) via the SBI Shinsei Bank App (Japanese only).
Please note that from June 28, 2026 onward, if you have not registered for Smartphone Authentication (FIDO), your daily transfer limit is capped at JPY 2 million.
